 Description of the Intermediate Level Certification: Expands the concepts and skills introduced in the Foundation course. It is the ideal course for those who have experience in preparation and want to analyze how to improve the quality of coffee. This course addresses a wide variety of topics, including discussion of the brewing process in terms of device, order of extraction, and wetting; essential elements of the preparation and their influence on the final cup; scientific method of measuring and charting the strength and extraction of coffee; analysis of brewed coffee and adjustments to be considered to serve a delicious and well-balanced cup, and the importance of cleaning and maintenance.
 Prerequisites: Have completed and successfully passed the Barista Skills Fundamentals Level Certification.
