Distance Learning and In Person Learning - Brewing Foundation SCA
This Certification can be completed ONLINE and in person. In case of choosing the online option, there are minimum necessary equipment requirements and you can choose one of 2 options to follow the activities: 1. Search locally for the list of required coffees, 2. You can choose to have us send you the Coffee Kit for this class so that you can follow the activities with the coffees prepared at the Academy. Shipping this kit to your country would be an additional cost.
Take into account that if you take this course ONLINE, the full payment must be made this way, so only add taxes to the exam fee.
The Brewing Foundation Certification introduces the student to the different methods of making coffee. The student will receive theoretical and hands-on instruction for a variety of devices, including automatic and manual gravity brewers, as well as other brewers commonly used within their local culture. The hands-on learning objectives and activities prepare the student to produce a flavorful beverage based on an understanding of the essential elements of brewing and an analysis of brewing results. A written exam assesses theoretical knowledge based on the learning objectives of the foundation course.
Once you have completely paid the aforementioned fee, we will register you in the SCA system and you will enter the certification. Thus begins the registration process for this and all certifications.
We are aware that there may be situations beyond our control that require you to change the date of your class or cancel your reservation. Our return policy will reflect the costs incurred in preparing your already scheduled class.
Refund Policy: The fees can be 100% refunded if the training is canceled at least 14 days before starting the course in question. You cannot cancel 2 days in advance, but you can choose to reschedule your class by canceling the fee to reschedule.
Rate to reschedule: This rate does not apply if it is rescheduled within 14 days of starting the course in question.
The Re-schedule Fee is 25% of the value of the course and applies to Students wanting to re-schedule their class with less than 14 days before starting.
DURATION OF THIS CERTIFICATION: 1 day
Hours: 9am to 5pm.
Includes: Class Materials and Lunch. Student will be responsible for bringing notes and pencils.
PREREQUISITES: None, the Introduction to Coffee Certification is recommended without being mandatory
EXAMINATION:
The exam is taken ONLINE, lasts 22 minutes and must be passed with a minimum score of 60%. There are no practical exams. The student will have 21 days to take the online exam.
PROGRAMMING: This course will be scheduled in PRESENTIAL.

REGISTRATION: You must have completed the payment of 100% of the Fees for this certification to ensure your place. If the student wants, they can pay the value of the exam in cash or check before starting their first course.
