Dong Ding oolong

Oolong tea

Oolong tea represents only 2% of the world's tea production and it is undoubtedly a variety that we recommend you to know. Oolong tea is a partially oxidized tea and in color, it falls between the Green and Black processes. Our Taiwanese Oolong has little oxidation, giving it a distinctive bluish-green hue.  Some varieties are processed and rolled similar to the gunpowder like this one.

The Oolong Process has endless flavor characteristics, it is a tea that can have sweet, fruity notes with honey, or it can be woody, with roasted aromas or it could have green, fresh flavors and a bouquet of flowers, it all depends on your process style. Although most Oolong are consumed directly after harvest, some processes could benefit from a little aging. Give them a try!
