International Certification - Sensory Skills Foundation Level (Foundation) - 5 points - Online Exam

The Fundamental Sensory Skills course presents the basics of sensory assessment in a practical and interactive way. Investigates how the human senses influence perception and how to apply this knowledge when evaluating the natural characteristics of coffee. Students gain the ability to differentiate certain sensory aspects of coffee, including body, acidity, bitterness, and more. The course introduces fragrance identification references and also focuses on the purpose and procedure for conducting an SCA tasting. Students gain information to identify the qualities of specialty coffee, as well as an overview of how to implement this in business. The hands-on learning objectives and activities specifically prepare the student to identify basic differences in coffee attributes, recall fragrance identification, and set up a cup according to the SCA Tasting Protocol. A written exam assesses theoretical knowledge based on the learning objectives of the foundation course.

We recommend this International Certification for producers, processors, tasters with or without experience. We recommend it to people curious to know in depth the flavors of coffee and what its evaluation is about.

Barista Pro Academy has prepared this class with the SCA guidelines and much more, so it is recommended for people with or without experience.

Refund Policy: The fees can be 100% refunded if the training is canceled at least 14 days before starting the course in question. You cannot cancel 2 days in advance, but you can choose to reschedule your class by canceling the fee to reschedule.

Rate to reschedule: This rate does not apply if it is rescheduled within 14 days of starting the course in question.

The Re-schedule Fee is 25% of the value of the course and applies to Students wanting to re-schedule their class with less than 14 days before starting.

PREREQUISITES: None, the Introduction to Coffee Certification is recommended without being mandatory

EXAMINATION: 
The exam is taken ONLINE, lasts 22 minutes and must be passed with a minimum score of 60%. There are no practical exams. The student will have 21 days to take the online exam.
​
PROGRAMMING: This course will be scheduled in PRESENTIAL.

REGISTRATION: You must have completed the payment of 100% of the Fees for this certification to ensure your place. If the student wants, they can pay the value of the exam in cash or check before starting their first course.
